SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — JANUARY 19, 2021 — Transparent Path, a US social purpose corporation focused on reducing food waste and financial risk, has been selected as part of the 2020 FoodTech 500, the definitive list of the top 500 startup and scaleup companies shaping the future of food.

Created by Forward Fooding, a San Francisco-based investment advisory firm, the FoodTech 500 is the world’s first definitive list of the global entrepreneurial talent at the intersection of food, technology and sustainability. Transparent Path was selected from a list of over 2000 applicants across 60 countries. Winning startups were scored based on business size, digital footprint and sustainability score.

“It’s incredibly exciting to see we’re getting noticed,” stated Transparent Path founder and CEO Eric Weaver. “Particularly for our social impact focus on reducing food waste and financial risk. We’re hugely appreciative and honored to be included in the Forward Fooding report.”

Of the 500 startups chosen, Transparent Path was one of 88 pre-seed ventures included from around the world.

“The sustainability focus of the FoodTech 500 is something we’re proud to be associated with,” stated Weaver. “Many investors and customers we talk to want to see a triple bottom line focus, caring for profit, people and planet. Being noticed and included in this distinguished list shows we’re on the right path.

“It’s a great kickoff to our 2021!” Weaver added.
